LIM - Gluing your DNS/DNSSEC stuff together since 2012 ABOUT Lim is actually just a framework to generalize RPC calls from RESTful JSON/XML, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC and SOAP to plugins. It was developed for managing OpenDNSSEC and SoftHSM which is used for DNSSEC. For more information about OpenDNSSEC and the OpenDNSSEC Lim plugin please see: OpenDNSSEC - https://www.opendnssec.org Lim plugin - https://github.com/jelu/lim-plugin-opendnssec For more information about SoftHSM and the SoftHSM Lim plugin please see: SoftHSM - https://www.opendnssec.org/softhsm Lim plugin - https://github.com/jelu/lim-plugin-softhsm For more information about generic DNS Lim plugin please see: https://github.com/jelu/lim-plugin-dns ARCHITECTURE There are three parts (so far) in Lim; Server, Client and CLI. You can install them separately to be able to manage software remotely by CLI or by writing your own software with the Client libraries or calling the different RPC protocols. The Server software that is run on the machines that you want to manage is called an Agent daemon (lim-agentd). It will load all available plugins on the system and serve them through the RPC protocols. +-------------------+ +-------------------+ | | | | | CLI | | Client | | | | | +---------+---------+ +---------+---------+ | | | +----------------------------------------+ | | | | +-------------------+--------------------+ | | | | | | | +---------+----+----+ +------+------+-----+ +----+----+---------+ | | | | | | | lim-agentd | | lim-agentd | | lim-agentd | | | | | | | +-------------------+ +-------------------+ +-------------------+ INSTALLATION To install this module, run the following commands: perl Makefile.PL make make test make install SUPPORT AND DOCUMENTATION After installing, you can find documentation for the modules with the perldoc command. perldoc Lim perldoc Lim::* You can also look for information at: Issue tracker (report bugs here) https://github.com/jelu/lim/issues GIT repository https://github.com/jelu/lim LICENSE AND COPYRIGHT Copyright (C) 2012-2013 Jerry Lundström This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of either: the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; or the Artistic License.
